Marie E. Collins

Marie E. (Heath) Collins, 78, of Hudson, died Friday, Jan. 14, 2011, at UMass Memorial Medical Center, University Campus in Worcester. She is survived by her husband of 26 years, Gilbert Gibby Collins of Hudson. Marie was born in Boston, daughter of the late Warren and Elizabeth (Jones) Heath and resided in Hudson most of her life. She was raised in Marlborough, where she attended local schools and was a graduate of Marlborough High School. She was employed as a dispatcher for 25 years by the Hudson Police Department until retiring in 2004. Besides her husband, she is survived by her children, David B. Heath of Hubbardston, Michael Houghton of Sterling, Richard Houghton of Bourne, Robert Collins of Hudson, Tracy Cedar of Centerville, Patricia Wolcott of Rutland and Lee Harris of Hudson. She is also survived by her seven grandchildren, Rachel Sharon, Jessica Kunst, Courtney Manning, Cassandra Collins, Nicholas and Joshua Heath, Bryan Harris; her two great-grandchildren, Michael Ware, Logan Sharon; and her cousin, Pat Zalenski. Family and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Monday, Jan. 17, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., at the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home Inc.
