Obituary Condolences

Bruna L. (Fornaciari) Casto, 79, of Marlborough, died August 22, 2014 at the Miriam Boyd Parlin Hospice Residence in Wayland after a brief illness. She is survived by her three children, Tina M. Casto of North Grafton, Joseph M. Casto and his wife Rachel Bowden of Bloomington, IL and Michael B. Casto and his wife Sheila of Marlborough. Her siblings Garbriele Fornaciari Jr. of Franking, Veronica Glennon and her husband Thomas of Milford, Paula Krill of Franklin, Marc Fornaciari and wife Janice of Milford, Roberta Simmons and husband Jerry of Ione, CA. Also leaves her grandchildren Gabriella Casto and Cooper Casto of Marlborough and many nieces, nephews and great-nephews. She was the sister of the late Robert Fornaciari of Franklin. She was born in Milford, daughter of the late Gabriele and Elentena (Mainini) Fornaciari Sr. She graduated from Milford High School in 1952 and after high school completed her training as a Registered Nurse at Milford Hospital School of Nursing. She had a special place in her heart for the elderly and young people of all ages. She was a RN Supervisor at the former Cushing Geriatric Hospital in Framingham and was also a Staff Nurse at the Boy Scout Camp Resolute in Bolton for several summers. A resident of Marlborough for close to 50 years, she was a Cub Scout den mother for many years and later became a Unit Commissioner for the Algonquin Council of the Boy Scout of America and received many awards and honors from the BSA organization She also enjoyed at the election polls in her ward/precinct in Marlborough for many years. In the late 60's and 70's she was a lecturer of the Diet Workshop and enjoyed leading groups in the MetroWest are and teaching nutrition/weight loss. In her spare time she loved flower and veggie gardening and watching the Boston Red Sox and the Boston Celtics. Calling horus was at the John F. Rowe Funeral Home Inc., 57 Main st. Marlborough will be Tuesday, Aug. 26, 2014 from 5 to 8 p.m. A graveside service held on Wednesday, Aug. 27, 2014 at 11 a.m. for family and friends in Evergreen Cemetery, Wilson St., Marlborough. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the or to the Boy Scouts of America Organization. Her family is deeply grateful to the many people who gave their support, care and kindness to her and her family during this recent most difficult time.
