David Bruce Houseman, 55, died on June 9, 2013. He was the son of Norma (Broker) Houseman and Ralph J. Houseman of Dennisport. Born in Cambridge on September 29, 1957, he grew up in Hudson and was a graduate Marlboro Vocational High School. He worked delivering oil for Night Fuel Co., in Hudson and also as an oil burner specialist in Marlborough and Worcester. He moved to Cape Cod seven years ago and worked as a night watchman at the main gate of Oyster Harbors in Osterville. David was a member of the Cape Cod Covenant Church in Brewster. He served on the church property commission as well as sexton and enjoyed playing the guitar and singing at church services. He was always willing to help those in need and enjoyed fixing automobiles, trivia, a good joke, and writing and singing songs. In addition to his parents he leaves two brothers and one sister, Michael B. Hausman of Bridgewater, MA., Mark D. Houseman of Lancaster, MA., and Denise G. Houseman of Manchester, NH. He also leaves many nieces and nephews. A memorial service was held on Saturday June 15 at 11am at the Cape Cod Covenant Church, at Airline and Satucket Roads, Brewster, MA. A reception followed in the church fellowship hall and burial will be at a later date in the church memorial garden.
