Shae L. Ferrera

Shae Leigh Ferrera, 12 yr. old daughter of Richard Ferrera of Marlborough and the late Geraldine "Gerry" (Edwards) Kummel, died Tue., Feb., 21, 2012 at her home. Born in Leominster, MA, Shae was a sixth grade student at the 1LT.Charles Whitcomb School in Marlborough, where she worked hard , knew her mind, had a certain stubbornness as any twelve year old, and never melted under peer pressure. She loved all animals, especially penguins and cared diligently for her pet hamster. She enjoyed the outdoors, her bike and was a good and caring friend. During the past year of Shae's life, it was evident to her family, teachers and friends, that she was becoming a lovely and special young lady. Besides her father, she is survived by her brother, Dylan Ferrera of Marlborough, her uncles and aunts, Tommy Ferrera, Mike Ferrera, Ron and Debbie Edwards and Shirley Lutkevich, and her cousins, Steven Butler, Nick and Johnny Ferrera, and Demarisa and Dominque Edwards. She was also the granddaughter of the late and Diane and Joe Andziulewicz and Dolores and Henry Edwards. Visiting hrs. will be held on Sunday, February 26, from 2-5 pm at the Slattery Funeral Home, Inc., 40 Pleasant St., Marlborough, MA. Burial will be private.
