Lurline I. Houghton

Lurline I. (Spiers), of Marshfield, June 23, at the age of 88. Daughter of the late Chester and Hazel (Tirrell) Spiers. Beloved mother of Martha Horton of Marshfield. Loving grandmother of Michael Horton and his wife Jayme of Hanson, Christopher Horton and his wife Michele of Marshfield and Mark Horton and his wife Cheryl of Windham, NH. Also survived by six great-grandchildren. Predeceased by her sister Sally Roberts and her husband Fred. She leaves many nieces and nephews. Lurline was born in Pembroke. She graduated from Marshfield High School in l94l. She was a former cook at the Ames Way School. Lurline retired from Teradyne. She also had worked at Ritchie in Pembroke. Lurline was a member of VFW Auxiliary. A graveside service was held at Cedar Grove Cemetery, Marshfield on Friday, July 8 at 11 a.m. Contributions in Lurlines memory may be made to the VFW Auxiliary, 655 Main St., Marshfield, MA 02050.
