Mildred R. Millie Bratt of Marshfield, died Nov. 8, 2012, at the age of 93. Beloved wife of the late Joseph Bratt, she was the loving mother of Carol OKeefe and her husband David of Marshfield and Robert Bratt and his wife Adele of Bridgewater; loving Nana of Christopher, Kelly, Scott, Jill, Erek, Patrick, Phillip, Sarah and Bryon; and great-grandmother G.G. of Kasey, Paige, Spencer, Colin, Abigail, Aidan, Declan, Henry, Cameron, Jake, Ryon and Brayden; dear sister of the late Ruth Perry; daughter of the late Anthony and Albina (Zunino) Anderson. Millie had been a resident of Marshfield for over 50 years. She worked for the Marshfield Mariner. She was famous for her chicken soup that was always accompanied with a salad and for her holiday spinach raviolis. Millie was very active in politics in Marshfield. She was a member of the Sunrise Beach Association and was an advocate for fixing up the beach. Everyday Millie got out her rake and made a path way down to the beach. She loved to play Scrabble and cards with her friends Eileen Forsyth, Mary Harris and Colette Vacari. Visiting hours will be held at the MacDonald Funeral Home, 1755 Ocean St., Rte. 139, Marshfield, Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2012, from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. A funeral Mass will be held in Our Lady of the Assumption Church, 40 Canal St., Marshfield, at 11 a.m. Interment in Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Easton at 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Millies memory may be made to Hospice of the South Shore, 30 Reservoir Park Drive, Rockland, MA 02370-1055, or St. Vincent De Paul Society, 403 Union St., Rockland, MA 02370.
