Perry L. Thompson of Bel Air, MD and Marshfield, MA passed away on Saturday, 9 February 2013 at the age of 85. He was born in Bath, ME and served as an Industrial Arts Teacher for over 40 years including 25 years at Martinson Junior High School in Marshfield, MA. He is survived by his wife Katharine to whom he was marrried for almost 60 years. He is also survived by his son Kimball and his wife Anne of Chesapeake, VA; son Michael and his wife Marcella of East Greenwich, RI and his daughter Elizabeth and her husband Paul Tanenbaum of Bel Air, MD. He was also the proud grandfather of Jake, Anne Griffith and William Tanenbaum as well as Edward, Robert and Margaret Thompson. Perry was a WWII veteran of the United States Navy and a member of the Mayflower Society. He was known for his exceptional skills as a finish carpenter, crafter of reproduction early New England furniture, wood turnings and carved items. A private memorial service will be held later this year.
