Crowley, Mary A. - Maynard  
Mary Ann (Prosper) Crowley of Maynard, MA passed peacefully on May 19, 2016 with loving family surrounding her. She was born to the late Beatrice Prosper (McDonald) and Thomas Prosper on March 27, 1932. A lifelong Maynard resident, Mary was one of the original Bell telephone operators and later worked for Data Terminal in Maynard, MA. Later in her career, Mary worked at Concord Tea Cakes brightening everyone's day with her shining smile and caring manner. Remembering each birthday and life milestone, she cherished her extended family and friends. Marys favorite saying was Life is Good and she routinely would end her conversations with that phrase. Mary is pre-deceased by her husband, Albert J. Crowley, Sr., and survived by her son, Albert J. Crowley, Jr., and daughter Cathleen, as well as sister Barbara Kulevich and her husband, Alex, sister Dorothy Otterson and their families. Many loved her including grandchildren Kenneth, Shannon, Laura and Michael, their mother Diane, great grandchildren Abby, twins Aiden & Alivia, and dear friend Tida. A host of devoted nieces, nephews, their children, cousins and extended family members/friends brought great joy to Marys life. At Marys request, memorial services will be private. King, Thomas K. - Marblehead  
Thomas K. King, 44, of Marblehead, Massachusetts passed away suddenly on May 15, 2016. Thomas is survived by his beloved wife and high school sweetheart, Erinn (Walsh) King; his daughter Grace K. King and son Maxwell T. King all of Marblehead. He is also survived by his parents, Janet and Tom King of Maynard, MA; James and Marlene Kane of Swampscott, MA and his wifes parents Maggie and Bill Walsh of Marstons Mills. MA, as well as his two sisters | Lisa (King) Schiappa (Dan) of Bolton, MA and Alexandra Kane of Laconia, NH; his brother and sister-in-law Sean and Jennifer Walsh of Marstons Mills, MA and sister-in-law Jennifer Walsh of San Francisco, CA. He will be forever remembered by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Tom was born in Hartford, CT on May 17, 1971. He was raised in Maynard, Massachusetts. Tom graduated from Maynard High School (1989). He received a B.S. in Civil Engineering in 1993 from Worcester Polytechnic Institute graduating with distinction. He was a member of Alpha Tau Omega fraternity. Toms work career was extensive and varied. It began at Parametric Technology, included several startups, and for the last ten years Tom was employed by Xyratex, Inc. and Seagate Technology | Cupertino, CA. He was loved and admired by all the people he worked with. His quick wit and kind heart endeared him to anyone who met him. If you left your car in his driveway you would come back to find it washed, waxed, and vacuumed. He always had a kind gesture for everyone and would give you the shirt off his back. He was a true friend, true neighbor and real salt of the Earth. Tom adored his children and was a dedicated husband and loving father. He enjoyed skiing with his family, playing squash with friends, carpentry, golf and Crossfit. Tom loved the outdoors. His favorite summer activities were camping with family, spending time at the pool with the kids, days at the beach, and bike rides. One of his favorite all time memories as a child was taking summer vacations to Cape Cod with his grandparents- Meme and Mampie. On Sunday evenings from Spring to Fall you could always find Tom on the couch watching golf, it always put him at ease while thinking about the workweek ahead of him. He will never be forgotten and is engraved forever on the hearts of all who knew him. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady Star of the Sea Church, 85 Atlantic Avenue, Marblehead on Saturday, May 21 at 11AM. Cremation followed by burial will be private. Visiting hours will be held at the Eustis and Cornell Funeral Home, 142 Elm Street, Marblehead on Friday, May 20 from 2-6PM. McKenna, Gertrude F. - Concord  
Gertrude F. Sis McKenna, 86, of Stow, formerly of Concord died Friday, May 20, 2016 in Acton. She was the long time loving companion of the late Roger H. Derby. Born in Concord on November 1, 1929 she was the daughter of the late Joseph H. and Gertrude F. (Mara) McKenna. She attended Concord Public Schools and was a 1947 graduate of Concord High School. Miss McKenna retired as an administrative assistant with New England Telephone & Telegraph Co. in 1987 after over forty years of employment. She was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America. She resided in Concord until 2003 when she became a resident of Stow. A former communicant of St. Bernards Church in Concord, she more recently was a communicant of St. Bridgets Church in Maynard. She was active with the Stow Council on Aging, enjoying many of their group trips. A long time fan and follower of Boston sports, for many years she was a season ticket holder of the Boston Bruins. Sis was a loving sister, sister-in-law and loving aunt to many. She was the sister of Joseph H. McKenna Jr. and his wife Dorothy of Florissant, MO, James R. McKenna and his wife Martha of Rye, NH, Leo C. McKenna and his wife Christine of Hanover, NH, Margaret Ann Hawksworth of Newport, VT and the late Maureen McKenna Forrester, sister-in-law of the late Phyllis McKenna and is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Funeral will be held Wednesday, May 25th from the Dee Funeral Home, 27 Bedford Street, Concord Center at 8:45 a.m. followed by a funeral Mass in St. Bridgets Church, One Percival St. Maynard at 10 a.m. Interment will follow in St. Bernards Cemetery, Concord. Visiting hours at the Dee Funeral Home will be on Tuesday, May 24th from 3 to 8 p.m. Contributions in her memory may be made to Stow Council on Aging, 380 Great Rd., Stow, MA 01775.
