Madeline Smith

Madeline Dolly (Falconi) Smith, of Maynard, MA and Framingham, MA native, passed away peacefully on Wed. April 17, 2013 surrounded by her loved ones. She would've been 86 years old on April 30. Madeline was a devoted mother to Susan Gudzinowicz and husband Bill of Litchfield, NH, Pauline Echols and husband Scott of Huntersville, NC. She was the daughter of the late Pietro and Gioconda Falconi. Madeline was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence 'Skip' Smith and beloved son, Stephen and 4 cherished sisters, Alice Kelly, Victoria Zanchi, Mary Bache Aylward and Margaret Eva Manna and their husbands. She leaves behind many loving family members including 2 devoted grandchildren William Gudzinowicz Jr, Jennifer Kosko and her husband Andy along with 3 great grandchildren Kayleigh, Logan and Jackson Kosko all of Merrimack, NH. She also leaves 2 step-grandchildren Sarah and Annie Echols of Huntersville, NC. Madeline was a caring and devoted aunt to Janet Wainwright, Helen Trottier, Margaret Yuse, Patrick Kelly, Angelo Zanchi, Mary Lou Garvey, Godchild Paul Zanchi, Veronica Lahage, Ann Giombetti, Peter Manna, Carole Robertson, Godchild Corinne Rose and Michael Manna. Madeline was a faithful member of St. Bridget's Parish in Maynard, MA for many years. She enjoyed being with her family most of all and found the simple pleasures in life the most rewarding, whether cooking for her grandchildren, taking long walks or enjoying the beach. She was beloved by all she met and lived a faith-filled life. Relatives and friends attended visiting hours Fri. April 19th from 5:00-7:00pm at the Acton Funeral Home, 470 Massachusetts Ave (Rte 111) Acton. A funeral service was held Sat. April 20th at 1:00pm at the funeral home, burial followed in Glenwood Cemetery, Great Rd (Rte 117) Maynard.
