Irene Carley Obituary
Irene Mary (Nix) Carley, of Maynard, passed away peacefully Sunday December 15th, 2013 at Emerson Hospital in Concord at the age of 85. Born on February 11, 1928 in Waltham; daughter of the late Emerson and Myrtle Alice (Harvie) Nix, Irene was raised in Waltham and lived for a period of time in Concord and Boxborough before moving to Maynard where she has resided for many years. In her spare time she enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, bowling, oil painting and caring for animals. She was a member of the Concord Trinitarian Church Choir. She is survived by her loving & devoted children Fred Arthur Carley Jr. and his wife Cyndi of FL., Cynthia Irene Stanley and her husband Richard of NH., Linda Cetrone and her husband Robert of Maynard and Richard Scott Carley of CA., her cherished grandchildren Eric, Kimberley, Freddy, Adam and Aida, and great grandchildren Tyler, Elizabeth, Rebecca, and Michael. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Dear sister of the late Alice, Robie & John Nix. Funeral Services in celebration of Irene's Life were held in the Chapel of the Brasco & Sons Memorial, 773 Moody Street, WALTHAM Thursday afternoon Dec. 19th. Interment followed at Mount Feake Cemetery in Waltham. In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy may be made in her memory to the , 85 Astor Ave #2, Norwood, MA 02062 or the MSPCA, 350 S Huntington Ave, Boston, MA 02130.
