Leonard Frank Massarelli age 77 of Maynard passed away Monday, Oct. 14, 2013 at the Metrowest Leonard Morse Hospital. He was born April 16, 1936 in Concord, the son of the late Dominic and Margie (Palma) Massarelli. Raised and educated in Maynard, he graduated from Maynard High in 1954 where he was president of his class for all four years and was the co-captain of the Maynard High School football team in his senior year. He found enjoyment working at his company where he was a master machinist. During his spare time he was an enthusiastic sports fan and enjoyed watching the Patriots and had a special interest in the Armed Forces. Leonard is survived by his sons, Peter of N.C., Paul and his wife, Kathy of Fl., and Mike of Fl. He also leaves his granddaughters, Taylor and Katelyn, His brother, Richard J. Massarelli of Brewster, MA, his cousin, Josephine Crowell of Stow and his special friend, Mary Mitzcavitch Allan of Harvard as well as Aunts, Uncles and many cousins Visiting hours will be Friday, Oct. 18 from 4:00-7:00 pm in the Fowler-Kennedy Funeral Home, 42 Concord St., Maynard. Funeral Mass Saturday, Oct. 19 at 9:00 am in St. Bridgets Parish, 1 Percival St., Maynard. Interment Glenwood Cemetery, Maynard.
