Joyce A. DeVivo

Joyce A. DeVivo, 66 of North Port FL died on Thursday November 1, 2012 in Port Charlotte FL. at Tidewell Hospices after a short illness. Born on April 14, 1946 the daughter of the late Channing O. and June (Richards) Widell. Joyce was born and raised in Melrose, MA, graduating from Melrose High School in 1964 and Robie Secretarial School of Boston, MA in 1966. In 1992 she graduated from St. Mary's Seminary in Townsend, MD with a Master's degree. In 1999 she moved to Venice FL and subsequently to North Port FL. She leaves a daughter, Bonnie Mifflin of Haymarket, VA and two grandchildren, Robert and Alyssa Mifflin of Haymarket, VA. She also leaves a twin sister, Carolyn Pendexter of Reading, MA. Funeral services have yet to be determined. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Joyce's name can be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
