Warren H. Johnson, 88, died peacefully Thursday, April 5, 2012, following a period of declining health. He was born in Dorchester, Aug. 10, 1923, the son of the late Ingwell Johnson and Anna (Michaelson) Johnson. He was the husband of Florence R. (Burden) Johnson, who died on March 26, 2000. He is survived by his children, Carolyn G. McLaughlin and her husband, Patrick, of Ashland, and Warren H. Johnson Jr. and his wife, Margie, of Porter, Maine; brother of Esther Schuler and her husband, Rick, of San Antonio, Texas; six grandchildren, Patrick, Amy Jo, Timothy, Stacey, Eric and Michael; six great-grandchildren, Sean, Ben, Anson, Lexi, Sophia and Chiara; and several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Harriet Newton and Virginia Mitcham. Warren had been a longtime resident of Natick and graduated from Natick High School. He had a long and distinguished career beginning as a purchasing agent with Ucinite Co. of Newton Lower Falls, which then merged with TRW of Burlington, where he retired as the vice president of procurement. For more than 20 years, he was a square dance caller throughout the MetroWest area. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, boating and in his earlier years, bowling. He loved to be outdoors, especially caring for his yard which he maintained with perfection. He will be greatly missed by his family who was the center of his life. Visitations will be held Tuesday, April 10, from 4 to 7 p.m., at the Bryant Memorial Chapel of the John C. Bryant Funeral Home, 56 Pemberton Road (off Rte. 30), Wayland. His funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 11, at 10 a.m., at the funeral home, followed by interment in the Johnson family lot in Lakeview Cemetery in Wayland.
