Ada B. (Sheehan) Heald, 89, a resident of Northwood, passed away peacefully after a lengthy illness on August 24, 2013, at Pleasant View Center in Concord, NH. She was born on March 23, 1924, in Natick, MA, the daughter of the late Edward and Ada (Goss) Sheehan. Ada resided in Natick for many years and graduated from Natick High School. After graduation, she worked at Dennison Manufacturing in Framingham, MA and Ucinite Company in Newton, MA during the war. She was married to Everett H. Heald on June 8, 1946, in East Natick, MA. After her marriage to Everett, she was a lifetime resident of Needham, MA before moving to Northwood, NH in 1978. Wife of the late Everett H. Heald, she is survived by a daughter, Bette Sikes of Palm Beach Gardens, FL, a son, Douglas Heald and wife, Cheryl formerly of Northwood and now reside in Upton, ME; two grandchildren, Shannon Hastings and husband Randy of Hollywood, FL and Courtney Smith and husband Nathan of Wylie, TX, two great-grandchildren, Vincent and Greenlee Smith, several nieces and nephews. A loving wife and mother, she was actively involved in her childrens and grandchildrens lives. She will be remembered for her kindness, sweetness, tenderness and softness. She enjoyed family, knitting, sewing and card playing. There are no calling hours. Graveside services were held on Wednesday, September 4 at 11:30 a.m. in the chapel of the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen. Assisting the family with arrangements is the Cremation Society of New Hampshire. A reception followed for family and friends to celebrate her life at Alans of Boscawen, 133 North Main Street, Boscawen.
