Annmarie Giunta

Annmarie (Bibbo) Giunta passed away in the pre-dawn hours of September 2, 2011. She was born and raised in Newton and graduated from Newton High School in 1957. In 1961 she married George N. Giunta and the next year, they moved to Needham. She was employed for many years by the BID-Needham Hospital and the William Carter Company, having also worked for a time at Sunshine Biscuits. Annmarie was an avid traveler, and visited numerous states and several foreign countries. She was also passionate about dancing, having taken lessons for several years and having participated in several amateur competitions. She liked to spend her weekends taking long drives and spending time at flea markets an fairs. She was the beloved wife of George N. Giunta, of Needham and loving mother of George Giunta, Jr., of Needham. She is survived by her brothers, Raffaele Bibbo and wife Janet, of Waltham and John Bibbo and his wife Mary, of Newtonas well as her sister Constantina Bibbo Vachon, of Newton, along with many nieces and nephews. A Memorial Mass will be held at Mary Immaculate of Lourdes Church, Newton Upper Falls on Friday, September 16 at 10:30 AM. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend.
