Obituary Condolences

Carl John Lopresti, age 88 died on Sunday, December 16, 2012 at his home in Coral Springs, Florida surrounded by the comfort of his loving family. Carl John was born in Waltham, MA on June 18, 1924 the son of Italian born Arturo and Josephine (Cavalloro) LoPresti. He was a long time resident of Needham, MA from 1956 to 2001. Carl John's career in education spanned over 30 years including many years Wakefield Public Schools. He was an active member of the Massachusetts Teachers Association, Saint Joseph's Parish in Needham, MA and a volunteer at West Suburban Elder Services until his retirement. He worked as an assist Chaplain in Deaconess Waltham Hospital in MA and Delray Medical Center in FL. Carl John was a dedicated Brother of the Poor of Saint Francis of Assisi and a US veteran of World War II. He enjoyed traveling to religious sites abroad, attending daily mass, visiting the sick and aiding the poor. He was famous for his generous and kind spirit and was a loving and devoted husband, to the late Stella M. (D'Ercole) LoPresti, father and grandfather. He is survived by his two sons David J. LoPresti of Foxbourgh, Peter J. LoPresti and daughter Ginny LoPresti Lee of Parkland, Fl. He also leaves behind his devoted grandchildren, Andrea and Jonathan LoPresti of Foxbourgh, MA, Nicholas and Natali LoPresti of Parkland, FL, Marisa Lee Runyon of Sherman Oaks, CA, Jaclyn Jallo of Fort Lauderdale, FL and Kristen Lee of Parkland, FL and many nieces and nephews and cousins. Carls Funeral Mass was held at St. Joseph Church, Needham on Saturday Dec. 22, 2012. Interment with military funeral honors followed at St. Joseph Cemetery, West Roxbury.
