Marjorie Gordenstein

Marjorie (Courtois) Gordenstein 80, of Newton for the past 25 years and formerly of Worcester, passed away on April 16, 2013 following a brief illness. She was the wife of the late Robert S. Gordenstein. She was born in Worcester on August 9, 1932 and was a daughter of the late George A. and Irene M. (Burke) Courtois. Prior to her retirement, Marjorie was employed for over 30 years as an executive secretary for Raytheon Corporation. She was a wonderful cook and hostess, always making people feel welcome. Marjorie is survived by her step-children; Lisa Solomon of Wayland, Beth Kroner of Newton, and David Gordenstein of Sudbury, 6 step-granddaughters, 1 step-grandson; and one step great-granddaughter. She also leaves two sisters; Eileen Sheldrick of NE, and Kathy Brough of Chelmsford. Marjorie was much loved by her many nieces and nephews; Michael, Mark, Marty, Debbie, Billy, Bobby, Susan, Michelle, Michael, Janet, Susan, Peg, Mary, Doug, Rob, Chris, Dana, Jeremy, Marge, Chuckie, and Emilie. She was predeceased by her niece Maureen. Arrangements were entrusted to the care of BLAKE FUNERAL HOME, 24 Worthen St., CHELMSFORD. Private interment in Sharon Memorial Park.
