Robert G. Nashawaty, 76, a longtime town resident, died Thursday, August 22, 2013 at the Kindred Care-Harrington House in Walpole, following a long illness. He was the former husband of Helen C. (Lapuszynski) Nashawaty of Norwood. Born in Westwood, November 17, 1936 a son of the late George and Selma Nashawaty, he was raised in the greater Boston area along with his eight brothers and sisters, and is a graduate of Boston English High School. He served in the United States Army during the Korean conflict, and retired from the Northrop-Gruman Company in Norwood where he worked as an engineer for many years. He enjoyed gardening, cars, trips to Nantasket Beach, and animals, especially his beloved late Bullmastiff "Ellie". Additional survivors include his 3 sons; Robert G. Nashawaty, Jr. of San Diego, CA, Stephen P. Nashawaty and his wife Meghan of Franklin, Samuel G. Nashawaty of Holliston, his 2 grandchildren, Aiden and Gwenyth Nashawaty, and his close and dear friends Oliver and Christine Gruner and family of Franklin. Relatives and friends were invited to attend his funeral service Thursday, Aug. 29, at 10 a.m. at the Anglican Church of the Redeemer, 31 Hayward St. in Franklin. Interment at the family lot in the Gardens at Gethsemane Cemetery, Baker St., West Roxbury. Calling hours were Wednesday, Aug. 28th, at the Charles F.
