Maureen R. Lavoie, 85, died Thursday, July 31, 2014 surrounded by her family. She was the daughter of the late Andrew and Mary (Rogers) Lavoie. She was a life-long resident of Hopkinton, graduating from Hopkinton High School in 1947. She worked at Dennison Manufacturing as a payroll manager for 40 years until her retirement. She was an active member of the Hopkinton Senior Center and loved to travel. She was an avid Boston sports fan and loved playing bingo. Most of all, she was devoted to her garden and cherished the many hours spent working there. Maureen is survived by her brother Robert Lavoie and her sister Francis McBride, both of Hopkinton. She also leaves many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her sister Charlotte Lavoie. The funeral was held Tuesday, August 5, 2014 at 9:30 a.m. from the Callanan Cronin Funeral Home, 34 Church Street. A funeral Mass was celebrated in St. John the Evangelist Church at 10:30 a.m. Burial at St. Mary's Cemetery in Franklin.
