Wendell C. White Sr.

Wendell C. White Sr., age 84, of Norton, formerly of Easton, passed away unexpectedly at home Sunday, July 14, 2013. He was the husband of June C. (McCarthy) White to whom he was wed on May 31, 1971. Born in Easton, Oct. 21, 1928, he was a son of the late Hiram and Flora (Holmes) White. He grew up and was educated in Easton. During the Korean War, he served as a corporal in the United States Army. Mr. White was a retired machinist and had been employed at STD in Stoughton. He had formerly worked at the former Crofoot Gear Co. in Easton and was the owner of the former White Oil Co. in Norton. Curt had made his home in Norton for over 45 years. When younger, he along with his children had shared a love for Go-Kart racing. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his brother, Vernon White and his wife Jeanne of Easton; his stepson, Larry Thiffault of South Dennis. He was the father of the late Wendell C. White Jr. and Valerie Ann White. He was the brother of the late Myrtle Buron, Shirley Horn and Virginia Loftin; and is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
