June L. (Briggs) Harrington, 84 years of age, passed away at the home of her daughter, Gerri L. Wallace, in Norton, Dec. 12, 2013. She had resided in Norton for two years and was formerly of Brockton where she resided for more than twenty years. She was born in Boston and received her education in Boston schools. June had been a legal secretary for the law firm of Nutter, McClennen, and Fish in Boston. She had been a captain with the Brockton Community Crime Watch. In addition she had been a volunteer worker for a number of political campaigns in Brockton. June had also volunteered with the Brockton Life Center for the Handicapped. She was the wife of the late Gerald F. Harrington. June was the devoted mother of Gerri L. Wallace and her husband Scott of Norton and Christine G. Broome and her husband Jerry of Layton, Utah. She was the loving grandmother of Jennifer Sheridan married to Francis of Hyde Park and Jonathan Faitel and his wife Christine of Stoughton. She was the great-grandmother of Michael Sheridan. June is survived by her brothers, Philip Briggs of Bridgewater and David Briggs of Chicago, Ill. In addition, she is survived by several nieces and nephews. Visiting hours were held at the Mortimer N. Peck-Russell Peck Funeral Home, 516 Washington Street, Braintree, Tuesday, Dec. 17, from 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. A funeral service was held at 12 p.m. following the visiting hours at the funeral home.
