Russell J. Anderson Jr., 86, of Norwell and formerly of Cabarete, Dominican Republic, passed away unexpectedly Nov. 4, 2013. Born in Boston, March 3, 1927, he was the son of the late Russell J. Sr. and Margaret (Indrisano) Anderson. Russell enjoyed cars, the ocean, boxing, skiing, birds, reading, he loved traveling, and adored his children and grandchildren. In 1963, he founded Southeastern Metal Fabricators of Rockland. Russell was a World War II Army veteran. A large part of his life and best memories were spent in the Dominican Republic where he resided for over 20 years. Russell was the devoted husband of Agustina (Rosario) Anderson; dedicated father of Russell Anderson III and his wife Jane of Norwell, Matthew and his wife Christina of Weymouth, Luke and his wife Megan of Kingston, Ronald of Hanson, and Aramis and John both of Norwell; dear brother of Marylou Anderson of Calif., and the late Leonard and Lawrence Anderson; cherished grandfather of Christopher, Arianna, Chrystian, Maggie, Noah, and Natalie. Visiting hours were held in the Sullivan Funeral Homes, 551 Washington St., Rte. 53, in Hanover, Friday, Nov. 8, from 4-7 p.m. Funeral home service Saturday at 10 a.m. Interment was private.
