Ramiro Hidalgo, died suddenly at his winter home in Playa del Carmen, Mexico, on March 23, 2014, at the age of 68 . He was born in Santiago Chazumba, Oaxaca, Mexico, and met his wife, Mary Barys Hidalgo in Mexico City where she was teaching English. They were happily married for 43 years, and resided for 25 years in North Reading. He worked as a Supervisor at the Mass Department of Transitional Assistance for 24 years before retiring to a summer home in Eastham, and winter home in Playa del Carmen, Mexico. Ramiro lived his life to the fullest. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, golfing, riding his bike, walking the beach and most recently caring for his grandson, Joshua. He is survived by his wife, Mary, daughter Alicia and fiance Bryan, grandson Joshua, brothers Venustiano, Abel, David, Eloy, Catalino, Seth, and Noe, sisters Edith, Irma, Cristina, and Minerva, his sisters-in-law Carol Barys Williamson and Joan Artzberger Barys, brothers-in-law Walter Barys and Bill Williamson, and 32 nieces and nephews.
