Lorraine F. Edwards, 81, of Pembroke, passed away May 16, 2013, after a short illness, surrounded by her family. She was born Aug. 19, 1931, in Boston. She was a volunteer and eucharistic minister at Quincy Medical Center for 20 years and a eucharistic minister at St. Anns in Quincy. Lorraine was also a member of the North Quincy Catholic Womens Club. Lorraine was the wife of the late John G. Edwards Sr.; loving mother of Karen Kilgallon and her husband Bruce of Pembroke, Michael Edwards and his wife Irena of Long Beach, Calif.; daughter-in-law of Elizabeth Edwards of Braintree, and the late John G. Edwards Jr.; dear sister of Catherine Brooks of Weymouth, Eugenia Faucette of S.C., and the late Thomas McDevitt; cherished grandmother of Katelin, Jennifer, Helen, Craig, Dean, and Dianna. Lorraine is also survived my several nieces and nephews. Visitation was held in the Sullivan Funeral Home 551 Washington St., Rte. 53, in Hanover, Monday, May 20, from 9-9:45 a.m., followed by a funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Thecla Church, 145 Washington St., Pembroke.
