Ralph J. Pinto 92, of Franklin, died peacefully, Thursday April 4, 2013 at the Maples Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Wrentham, following a long illness. He was the husband of the late J. Dolores (Desrochers) Pinto, who died in 2001. Born June 25, 1920 in East Haven, Connecticut a son of the late Alfonso and Angelina (Casabona) Pinto, he was a resident of Franklin since 1970. Ralph was raised and educated in East Haven, and was a graduate of the University of New Haven where he received a degree in mechanical engineering. He was the retired owner of R.J. Pinto Sales, a fire equipment supply company in Franklin for over 50 years. He loved to play golf, watch UCONN basketball, music and the theater. Ralph was a citizen who gave back to his community; he was a former member of the Franklin Town Council, the Franklin Planning Board and was also a 36 year member of the Franklin Country Club. He is survived by 2 daughters, Leah F. Fallon, and Rachel A. Pinto, and his beloved grandchildren Sarah M. Fallon and Amanda L. Fallon all of Franklin. He was the brother of the late Florence Baranski. Calling hours were Thursday, April 11, from 6 - 8 p.m. in the Charles F. Oteri & Son Franklin Funeral Home, 33 Cottage St., Franklin.
