Sheryl A. (Romano) Patterson, 42, Massachusetts State Police, of Franklin, died peacefully at her home Tuesday May 21, 2013 surrounded by her family, following a courageous battle against cancer. She was the beloved wife of David A. Patterson. Born November 4, 1970 in Worcester a daughter of the late Fina (Leone) Romano & Carmen P. and Ann M. (Paladino) Romano of Millbury, she was a resident of Franklin since 2005 , and was a former resident of Worcester. She was raised and educated in Worcester, where she was a graduate of Holy Name High School Class of 1988. She next attended Fitchburg State College where she received a Bachelors degree in business and also was a graduate of Anna Maria College in 1994 with a Masters Degree in Criminal ustice. While attending college she was enrolled at the Massachusetts State Police Academy and became a Trooper in 1994. She was first assigned as a road trooper f or SP Russell, and then worked for the Hampden County District Attorneys Office as a homicide investigator, and until her illness forced her to stop working, she was at the Worcester County District Attorneys Office as an investigator in the narcotics division. She was a devoted mother and wife, her family was everything to her. Sheryl enjoyed traveling to the Turks & Caicos to spend time on the beach. In addition to her husband, & parents, she leaves her cherished daughter; Emily E. Patterson of Franklin, a brother Michael R. Romano and his wife Lisa of Rutland, 2 sisters Lynne Scricco of Millbury & Michele Scricco of Worcester, brother in law and sister in law Dana Pullman and his wife Melissa (Patterson) of Worcester, and brother in law Scott D. Patterson of Hansom, AFB Bedford. She also leaves her nieces and nephews; Fina Marie, Michael, Mark, Dylan, Brett, Jack, Dean and Logan. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral Mass Friday May 24th, at 10AM in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church 24 Mulberry St. Worcester. Burial will follow at St. Johns Cemetery, Cambridge St., Worcester. Calling hours are respectfully omitted. Arrangements by the Charles F.
