Janice Desautels

Janice Desautels of Plymouth, formerly of CT., age 67, died unexpectedly on March 31 at Jordan Hospital. Born in Hartford, Ct. April 17, 1945, she was the beloved daughter of the late Margaret (Emmons) and Dell Coe. Janice is survived by her beloved husband Leonard, loving sons Eric and his wife Courtney of Arlington, VA., and Mark of Sierra Vista, AZ. She was the cherished grandmother of Chloe and Alaina of Arlington, VA. Sister of Judith Kochey of Colebrook, Ct. and nephew Kurt. She was also the loving mother of the late Laura Desautels who died in 1976. Janice was a graduate of Central Connecticut State University with a Bachelors and Masters degree in English. She was a devoted wife and caring mother who eventually returned to the workforce as a Librarian, working most recently as a Children's Librarian in the Plymouth Public Library. Jan enjoyed reading, especially mystery novels, spending time with her beloved granddaughters, and the sun and serenity of Kingsbridge Shores Beach. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday April 4th at 11:00 am in the Cartmell Funeral Home 150 Court St. Plymouth. Visiting hours will be from 10- 11 prior to service. Cremation will follow in Vine Hills Crematory. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Plymouth Public Library Corporation, 132 South Street, Plymouth, Ma. 02360.
