Jennie (Frederick) Whittemore, 100, passed away peacefully on March 4, 2018 at Stafford Hill Assisted Living Center. Jennie (Frederick) Whittemore was born in Amherst, Ohio to George and Verna (Rogers) Frederick, the seventh of ten children. She married the late. Rev. Willard Whittemore on August 5, 1937 at her familys home in Amherst, Ohio. Willard and Jennie were married almost seventy-seven years until his death in 2014 at the age of 101 years old. Jennie and her husband Willard served as missionaries in India and Pakistan from 1940-1962 and also worked in the mission headquarters upon their return to the U.S. The Whittemores moved to Manomet in 1975. Jennie served as organist at various churches where her husband pastored and was active in nursing home ministry. Throughout her life, she was adored by everyone for her loving and sweet spirit. She enjoyed painting, a hobby she took up in her 70s, and took a weekly art class until early this year. Her painting was featured on the cover of the Stafford Hill Christmas card this year. Jennie is survived by her seven children: Winnie (Al), Bill (Shirley), George (Carol), Roger (Lois), John (Jeanne), Barbara, and Shirley. Jennie was also grandmother of 14 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, and 8 great-great grandchildren. In addition to her beloved husband, she was predeceased by her 9 siblings, son-in-law David, one granddaughter, and one great-grandson. A service to celebrate Jennies life will be held Davis Funeral Home 619 State Road, Plymouth (Manomet) on Thursday, March 8th at 11:00 a.m.

My mother loved Jennie & her husband. On my Moms last trip back to Mass we stopped to visit with them. God Bless
