Mary Hayward

Mary (Murphy) Hayward of Plymouth died peacefully on April 3rd. Mary was born July 30, 1926 a daughter of the late William and Veronica (Hession) Murphy. She met and married Hal Hayward on March 28, 1948. That day was extra special that year because it was on Easter Sunday. Her Special achievements in life are being a wife and mother. She took great pride in raising the family that she has and would not change one thing that happened along the way. According to her husband Hal Mary: has been my whole life for over sixty-five years and I have loved and adored her these many years, I call her my prec- ious person. She has always been a good wife and mother. She is the beloved wife of over sixty-five years to Harold Hayward. She is the loving mother of Richard of Denton, MD., Harold of Herdon, YA., Douglas of Plymouth, Ellen Messina of N. Andover, Barbara Hayward of Rockledge, FL., Carol Starvish of E. Windsor, Ct. and the late Kathleen Hirschy of Long Island , NY and Ginger Hayward of Brighton. Twin sister of Margaret McCauley of Kansas City, William Murphy, John Murphy and Eleanor Happnie. Cherished grandmother of 14 and great grandmother of 24. Funeral in the Cartmell Funeral Home 150 Court St. Plymouth on Monday morning at 11:30 am followed by interment in the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne at 12:45 p.m. Visiting hours at the Cartmell Funeral Home on Monday morning from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. Memorial donations may be made to the Salvation Army, Carver Street, Plymouth, MA 02360.
