Albert L. Parkman, of Duxbury, died at the age of 78, peacefully at home under the care of Cranberry Hospice and his family on Saturday, February 16, 2013. Albert leaves behind his loving wife, Rosemary L.(Wilbur) Parkman. He was the father of a daughter, Nancy of Plymouth, and sons, Eric and his wife Julie of DeKalb Jct., NY, and Gary of Plymouth. He also leaves behind a beloved granddaughter, Megan, of DeKalb Jct., NY. He was the son of the late Clarence M. and Alice (Trongeau) Parkman. He was predeceased by his brother Robert, and sisters Lena, Doris, and Helen, and a granddaughter Madison . He served during the Korean War in the United States Army. He was an active member of the American Legion and the Disabled American Veterans. By profession he was a mechanic and truck driver as well as a construction worker. The family wishes to express their deepest thanks to all the nurses, aids, and social workers with Cranberry Hospice who made this journey possible. A memorial service will be held in the spring.
