Anna M. (Costello) Churchill 88, died in Plymouth, Mass, on October 4, 2013. Born in Brockton, Ma on August 9, 1925, she is predeceased by her infant brother Carly Paul, Uncle Joseph (Joe-Joe) Petruskevicz, best friend Sadie Snow of Deer Isle, Maine, and her husband Arthur J. Churchill. She is survived by her three children, Dale Barbieri of Missouri and Arthur L. Churchill and Helen M. Churchill, both of Plymouth. She also leaves two grand-children, Nancy Filkins and Marc Cawiezel, and one great-grand-daughter, Katherine Mae Filkins, all of Missouri. Anna lived through WWII and some other hard times and was a lot tougher and stronger than she let on, or, many people realized. She was an avid reader, enjoyed doing puzzles, loved to dance, and adored a lobster dinner as well as Maple walnut ice cream. She also loved all things Maine and Scotland, but, best of all, a good laugh, regardless of circumstances. Services are being handled by Casper Funeral Services of Boston. Burial is at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne, Mass. The family asks only that if you are enjoying a lobster or maple walnut ice cream in the near future, to hoist either one in the air, in toast to her memory.
