August Louis Barros Sr. of Carver died on February 24th, 2014 in the VA Hospital in Wilkes-Barre PA He was the beloved husband of the late Joyce (Lima) Barros. Loving father of MaryAnn Robins, Danielle Barros, Rochelle Shokoti, Sonya Barros, Ann Marie Coleman, August L. Barros Jr.., Frank Meranda and Kevin Fontes, Wayne Barros and the late Joseph A. Barros. Brother of Madilyn Fernandes, Florence Miranda and the late Mary Silva, Jenny Stell, Ella Timas, Manuel Barros and the late Edward Perry. Cherished grandfather of 22 and Great grandfather of 16 .Born in Carver, MA. August 8, 1922 a son of the late Joseph and Catherine (Pires) Barros. Educated in Carver, he served with the U.S. Army during WWII. Augie worked as a Constable for the Town of Carver for many years. He was a member of the Carver V.FW. Funeral from the Cartmell Funeral Home 150 Court St. Plymouth on Friday March 7th at 9:00 am followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Peters Church Plymouth at 10:00 am.
