Barbara S. Shomphe, 86, died peacefully on April 29, 2013 at the Life Care Center of Plymouth, MA. Born in Englewood New Jersey on March 30, 1927. She graduated from Miami Edison High School in Florida, and then attended Mass General Hospital School of Nursing in Boston and graduated in 1948 as a registered nurse. She worked as a registered nurse in many capacities; hospitals, nursing homes, and industrial nursing. Barbara was also the office manager for Gold Crown Service Corporation, the family business. Barbara was the beloved wife of the late Leo Shomphe and married for 40 years. Devoted mother of Charlene Ferretti and her husband Gerald of Cleveland OH; David Shomphe and his wife Joan of Marlboro, MA; Thomas Shomphe and his wife Cindy of Sutton MA; Barbara Burke and her husband Jack of Plymouth, MA. Loving grandmother of David, Meg and Anne Ferretti, Chris and Stephen Shomphe; Sarah, Ivy and Olivia Shomphe, John and Melissa Burke. Loving great-grandmother to Hannah, Barron, Joanne, Nicholas and Aiden Shomphe. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
