Brenda Mae (Harding) Pina, age 70, died peacefully on June 12, 2013 surrounded by her family. She was the devoted wife of Domingo J. Pina. Born in Wareham on February 20, 1943, she was a daughter of the late Bernard and Alice (Gomes) Harding. She was raised by the late Gertrude E. Ferendes. She was educated in Duxbury and was a graduate of Duxbury High School. She had been employed in earlier years by the Mayflower Nursing Home in Plymouth as a certified nurses aide. She then went on to work for Blue Cross Blue Shield of MA as a clerical worker. Retiring after 15 years of service. She was also employed by the John Carver Inn in Plymouth where she has many close friends. Brenda had moved to Plymouth from Duxbury at age 18. She had enjoyed playing Bingo, crocheting, knitting and dancing as a few of her favorite hobbies. She had a vivacious personality and loved socializing with family and friends. She will be fondly missed by the many hearts she touched. Mrs. Pina was the loving mother of Sherri A. Pina of Brookline, Lisa M Pina, Peggy L. Pina, Janice A. Pina, and Dominique M. Pina all of Plymouth. She was the beloved sister of Bernard Harding of Dexter, ME, Barbara Smith of Lawn Side NJ, and Evelyn Feaster of Philadelphia, PA. She was predeceased by her brothers Caleb and Harry Harding. She was the cherished grandmother of 8 and great-grandmother of 4. A public visitation will take place on Tuesday, June 17th, 2013 at the Cartmell Funeral Home, 150 Court St. Plymouth from 4 to 7 p.m. A private graveside service will take place on Wednesday at Mayflower Cemetery, Duxbury.
