Dennis F. Diauto, of Plymouth, formerly of Braintree, passed away on June 1, 2018, at the age of 68, surrounded by his family after a two year battle with throat cancer. Born in Weymouth, Dennis grew up in Randolph and graduated from Randolph High School, Class of 1968. He continued his education at the Culinary Institute of America in Conn. and then graduated from Northeastern University with a Bachelors Degree in Hotel and Restaurant management. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy reserves for over 25 years. Dennis was the owner of Diauto Remodeling and Around the Clock Cleaning. Spending time with his family at the cottage, fishing, boating and listening to music brought him the most joy. A devoted husband, father, son, grandfather and brother, Dennis will be greatly missed by all who were blessed to have known him. Dennis was the beloved husband of Joan (Hughes) Diauto. Loving father of Nicole Driscoll and her husband Greg of Braintree, Kerri Crawford and her husband Chuck of Avon and Amanda Spry and her husband Mike of Whitman. Dear son of Dominic and Frances (DeGiso) Diauto of Taunton. Devoted brother of Sandra Brigida of Plymouth and Kevin Diauto of East Bridgewater. Cherished Papa to Rebecca, Nathan, Mason, Jaxon, Ryan, Julia, Brian, Kevin and another one on the way. Also survived by many aunts, uncles, brother and sister-inlaws, nieces, nephews, and friends. Relatives and friends respectfully invited to attend visiting hours at the Cartwright-Venuti Funeral Home, 845 Washington St., Braintree on Tuesday June 5, from 4 - 8 p.m. Reposing until 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, June 6, followed by a funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. in St. Clare Church, 1244 Liberty St., Braintree. Burial in the Washington Street Cemetery in Norwell. Should friends desire, memorial contributions may be made in Dennis name to the New England Wildlife Center in Weymouth, MA.
