Gerald Jerry Penney of Plymouth, 65, passed away at Jordan Hospital Dec. 11. Beloved husband of Marcia (Burns) Penney of Plymouth, he was the loving father of Ericka Penney of Pembroke, Chris Penney of Denver, Colo., Ross Penney of Newbury and Laura Penney of Easthampton. He also leaves his mother, Rose Freeman of Easton; 2 sisters, Karen Vega of Pembroke and Dianne Penney-Brown of Taunton; and 4 grandchildren. He was the brother of the late Ron Penney. Jerry was born in Boston, the son of Sydney and Rose Penney. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War, earning the Vietnam Victory Medal with 4 Bronze Stars. Jerry was a driver for UPS working out of the Brockton facility. Jerry was an avid golfer and was a member of the John Alden Sportsmens Club, and the Plymouth Order of the Moose. A celebration of his life will be held at the Richard Davis Funeral Home, 619 State Road (Rte. 3A), Plymouth (Manomet), Saturday, Dec. 14, from 11 to 1 p.m. Burial will be private In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the
