Jannette Stahly Obituary
Jannette (Trafford) Stahly, age 89 years, of (Manomet) Plymouth, died Saturday, April 21, 2018, at the Beth Israel- Deaconess Hospital in Plymouth. She was the wife of the late Martin Stahly, and the daughter of the late John and Violet (Adams) Trafford. Born and raised in Oxford, England, Jannette moved to Boston as a young woman in 1945 where she lived with her husband. They made their home in Manomet in 1964. She was educated in Oxford school, and worked in a grain and feed store and in repair and demonstration for Singer Sewing Machine Company in England. Later she worked as a stitcher in local factories and as a cranberry picker during. Later. Janette enjoyed sewing, knitting and crocheting. She was a talented painter, using oil paints and later watercolors, and also enjoyed playing the piano. She is survived by her son Richard Stahly and his wife Patricia of Rhode Island, Dennette Madsen and her husband George of Manomet and Deborah Bishop and her husband John of Manomet, her brother Randall Trafford of England, seven grandchildren, Joanne Heres, Richard Madsen, Tye Braden & Derek Stahly, Joseph, Ramona, Jeremy and Raydes Bishop. She was the great grandmother of Jamie and James Heres, Nicole Wood, Kylie Madsen and Alex Stahly, the great- great grandmother of Tremane Heres & Baby Wood, and the aunt of Andrew Stahly, Malcom Trafford, Jane Trafford, Cheryl Linn and Barbara Stahly. She was the grandmother of the late George Madsen, the sister of the late Anita Musson and Maurice Trafford and the aunt of the late Martin and Mark Trafford. Her funeral will be held in the Second Church in Plymouth, 518 State Rd., Plymouth (Manomet) on Thursday, May 3, 2018 at 10AM. Interment will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery in Dorchester at 12:30PM.
