Judith A. (Downs) Weatherhead of Plymouth, died unexpectedly on March 6th, 2018 at B.I.D. Hospital Boston surrounded by family following a heart attack March 4th. Beloved wife of John L. Weatherhead and the loving mother of Joshua Weatherhead and his partner Trudy Bryant of Plymouth and Jennifer Weatherhead of Pawtucket, R.I., sister of Debra Foreaker and her husband Louis of Plymouth and Bonnie Downs and her partner Walter Selens of Maine. Loving aunt of Leanne Foreaker and her partner Brian Hulse, Matthew Young and his wife Mary, Stephen Young and his wife Erin, Bethany Rupert and her husband Mike, Heather and Alex Lowe. Her family also includes great nieces and nephews and anyone else that stepped through her door. She dedicated her life to caring for anyone who needed her. Born in Tampa, Florida August 8, 1963 daughter of the late Richard and Elizabeth (Anderson) Downs of Manomet. Educated in Plymouth she was a 1980 graduate of Plymouth | Carver High School and went on to attend Cape Cod Community College nursing school graduating in 1992. Judy worked as a RN in local nursing homes for many years until leaving due to a lupus diagnosis. Some of her many hobbies included gardening, cooking, sewing, reading, being apart of the World of Warcraft community, but most importantly she spent most of her time taking care of her family and friends and her beloved husband who suffers from Frontotemporal Dementia. A special thank you to all first responders, EMS, med flight and medical staff that went above and beyond. A celebration of Judys life will be held on Saturday, March 17th at 1:00 pm in the Davis Funeral Home, 619 State Rd., Plymouth (Manomet). Cremation in Vine Hills Crematory.
