Mario Giam- marco of Plymouth passed away early Friday, May 2nd. He was 85 years old. He is survived by daughters, Mary of Sandwich and Terese of Garrison, NY, son, Andrew of Brooklyn, NY and grandsons Andy, Sam and Evan. He is also survived by his former wife, Catherine Sangiolo. Born to Italian immigrants Giavanni and Teresa Giammarco, he was the youngest of seven children; Buster, Lundy, Ines, John, Esther and Telio. Mario served in the armed service during the Korean war. He went on to work for the Commonwealth Gas Company (what is now NStar) for many years until his early retire- ment. Mario loved to sing and perform. He was formally trained and sang with the New England School of Music Repertory Chorus and performed with the Boston Symphony and Boston Pops. Music was always a big part of his life. He often shared his love of music around the piano where his wife, Cathy, would accompany him at gatherings with family and friends. His generous and kind spirit will be missed by all who were recipients of his love and support.
