Philip Delano Obituary
Philip Delano, age 79, of Plymouth, passed away, June 7, 2018, unexpectedly at Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital in Plymouth, surrounded by his loving family. Philip was the beloved husband for fifty-three years of Jane (Murphy) Delano. He was the cherished father of John Delano and his wife Nicole of Plymouth and Paul Delano and his wife Denyce of Medford. He leaves his two grandsons Michael and Joseph Delano of Plymouth. Philip also leaves behind his brother, John Delano and his wife Donna of Duxbury and his sister Debbie Ferrari of Plymouth. Philip was born in Plymouth on December 17, 1938 to the late Joseph and Evelyn (Johns) Delano. He graduated from Silver Lake High School in 1956 and then served in the United States Air Force for four years. Following his dedicated service to our country, in 1962, he began his career at Delano and Keith Surveyors in Plymouth and then, for the next 35 years, as an engineer for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, Department of Transportation, where he retired from in 2001. A period of visitation will take place on Thursday, June 14, 2018, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Davis Funeral & Cremation Home at 373 Court St., Plymouth. A memorial service will be held on Friday, June 15, 2018, 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
