Robert B. Coggins Obituary
Robert B. Coggins of Plymouth formerly of Lunenburg died peacefully in his home on June 10th, 2018. He is the beloved husband of Karen E. (Dolloff) Coggins. Father of Robert Robbie Coggins Jr. of Middleboro, Douglas Coggins of NY, Lynne Morgan of Plymouth, Jason Rhodes of Scituate and Amanda Fink of New Jersey. Son of Beverly V. (Oakes) Coggins of Georgia and the late R. Paul Coggins. Brother of John Coggins of Lunenburg, Scott Coggins of Derry, NH and Dale Coggins of Georgia. Grandfather of Logan Morgan, Hunter Morgan, Cydney Fink, Benjamin Fink, Sean Rhodes, Harrison Coggins and Sydney Coggins. He was also the much loved son-in-law of Helen Dolloff of Plymouth. He also leaves behind several nieces and nephews and other family members that were very dear to him. Born in Lawrence, MA on February 6, 1946. He was educated in Lunenburg and a graduate of Northeastern University. He worked for the Gillette Company as a Project Engineer in their research and development division. He also went on to work for Clipper Abrasives where he was responsible for creating a new operational plant in the south. He was the owner and operator of Valentes Florist in North Plymouth for 30 years. He was an active member of the Plymouth community for many years. He served as the Chairman of the Board of Jordan Hospital for 10 years. He was a town meeting member. He was a member of the Chamber of Commerce. He was also a pass member of the Plymouth Yacht Club. He was also an active member of The Lake Arrowhead Community of Fort Myers, Florida where he spent many happy winters. A celebration of Bobs life will be held at a later date. Cremation at Vine Hills Crematory.
