Bob Werner, Jr. passed away on March 25, 2014 in Mesa, AZ at age 72. He was the loving husband of Pauline Giaccaglia Werner of Mesa AZ, and father of Stephen Werner and his wife Christine of Plymouth and Jeffrey Werner and his wife Susan of Whitman;grandson Connor Werner, step grandson Edward Howland and his wife Amber of Reno, NV and great grandson Pierce Howland. Bob was born on October 19, 1941 in Plymouth to Robert H. Werner Sr. and Doris Brown Werner. He lived in Kingston until he retired to AZ in 2005. Bob attended school in Kingston and worked in his fathers upholstery business (Werner Upholstery). He served in the National Guard during the Vietnam war and had an art degree from Mass College of Art and Art Institute of Boston. Bob was most known locally as the owner of The Hobby Barn in Plymouth and Kingston. He was known nationally in the model railroading industry and served as historian at Edaville Railroad. Bob researched small railroads and his research and collection of pictures were used in several books. Bob is preceded in death by his parents, his brother Richard Werner, his Uncles Donald Brown, Kenneth Brown and Francis Brown and his Aunts Virginia (Dolly) Brown, Barbara Furtado and Priscilla Werner. A celebration of life service will be held Sunday April 6th at 1:00 pm at: Las Palmas Grand Ballroom, 2550 S. Ellsworth Rd, Mesa, AZ 85209.
