Walter A. Rogers Obituary
Walter Anthony Rogers, age 85, died on Sunday, November 10th, 2013 at the Life Care Center of Scituate. He was the devoted husband of the late Frances Louise (Fallon) Rogers. Born in Plymouth on November 11, 1927, he was a son of the late Manuel Carl and Rose Marie (Motta) Rogers. He was educated in the Plymouth School system and was a Graduate of Plymouth High School. Following his high school graduation he enlisted in the US Army where he served as a Private 2C until being honorably discharged in March 1956. For most of his life Mr. Rogers worked as a fisherman and was co-owner along with his late brother Bertram Rogers of the of the fishing vessel Helen Mae. He is survived by his Step- son David Fallon of Maine, his step-daughter Pamet Brown of W. Barnstable, his sister Rose Richmand of Plymouth and was predeceased by his brother Bertram Rogers of Plymouth. He also is survived by many nieces and nephews including his nephew Clinton Bows and his wife Anne, his nephew Bert Rogers and niece Deborah Rogers all of Plymouth. and his longtime friend Mike Secondo of Plymouth. A Graveside service will be held on Wednesday, November 13th, 2013 at the Plymouth County Cemetery, South Meadow Road., Plymouth at 10:00 a.m. Donations in his memory may be made to the Charity of ones choice.
