William Edwin Hiltz, age 56, died Nov. 10, 2012, at his home in Attleboro. He was the beloved son of the late Phillip G. and Anne (Birmingham) Hiltz. He was educated in Kingston and was a graduate of Silver Lake Regional High School as well as St. Francis College in Maine. William had worked for many years as a chef, most recently at LaSalette Shrine in Attleboro. He served in the U.S. Army from 1978 through 1982. He was a friend of Bill W. He was the loving father of Logan Baresel and Brynne Hiltz, both of Taunton. He was the cherished brother of Arthur D. Hiltz, James R. Hiltz, both of Halifax, John E. Hiltz of Quincy, Peter F. Hiltz of Carver and Anne Marie Gawlinski of Cedarville. He was also the grandfather of Kamryn and Alexus. He was predeceased by his brother, Phillip G. Hiltz III. A graveside service took place Friday, Nov. 16, at the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne, at 9:45 a.m. Visitation omitted. A pro-burial Mass will take place Saturday morning at Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Carver at 10 a.m. Arrangements by Cartmell Funeral Home, 150 Court St., Plymouth.
