To Pauls family:
I knew Paul for many years when he was living near the Russian River in Guernville. He was my friend, my magic teacher, and someone who gave freely of his time and talent to encourage a young career.
He loved his books, his knowledge was deep, and upon his passing I felt as if a library had burned down. My heart, my prayers, and thoughts of love will go out to you and him this windy night, as I recall the warm memories of my friend and
mentor Paul.
Peace,
Timothy

Sorry to hear of your loss. He was a very dear friend when I was growing up. He had a heart of gold and we enjoyed his talents. He was a gem.

How do I love thee? Let me count the ways.
I love thee to the depth and breadth and height
My soul can reach, --- I love thee with the breath,
Smiles, tears, of all my life! --- and, if God choose,
I shall but love thee better after death.
from a poem I used to say to Paul by Elizabeth Barrett Browning (1806-1861)

Paul, I remember the many card games and slight of hand on the Austin Prep bus back in 1971-72. May God bless you and grant you eternal life.
