Claire J. (Reddington) Fredrickson, age 80 years, of Plymouth, formerly of Bridgewater and Carver, died Wednesday, May 14, 2014, at Good Samaritan Medical Center, Brockton, with her family by her side. Born in Quincy, she was the daughter of the late David Reddington and Ruby Churchill. She was a graduate of Quincy High School, and had worked for John Hancock in Braintree, for many years. She will be warmheartedly remembered as a devoted mother, sister, grandmother and great-grandmother, and will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her. She was an avid fan of the Red Sox, Celtics and Patriots. She also enjoyed swimming, playing board games, and card games with her family. She loved to travel, and especially enjoyed spending all the time she could with her family. Survivors include two sons, Eric M. Fredrickson of Raynham, Steven L. Fredrickson of Denton, Texas; three daughters, Laura L. Black of Middleboro, Nancy V. Loveland of Plymouth, and Cynthia R. Place of Carver; a brother, Donald Reddington of Kingston; two sisters, Catherine Gunderson of Alexandria, Minn., and Ruby Fulle of Hilliard, Ohio; 14 grandchildren, and 8 great-grandchildren. She was sister of the late David Reddington and Edith Bellevue, and grandmother of the late David Pettinato. Visiting hours were held Monday, May 19, from 4-8 p.m. in the Ashley Funeral Home, 35 Oak St., Middleboro. Funeral services were held in the funeral home Tuesday, May 20, at 9:30 a.m. Burial will take place in Titicut Parish Cemetery, N. Middleboro.
