Hilda (Correa) Carvalho, age 90, died peacefully at her home in Plymouth following a long illness. She was the devoted wife of the late Antonio Carvalho. Born in Plymouth, Sept. 22, 1922, she was a daughter of the late Manuel and Mary (Pacheco) Correa. Hilda was educated in Plymouth and had worked as an inspector for the Foxboro Company in Bridgewater as well as the Yankee Traveler as a cook for many years. Hilda was a lifelong Plymouth resident, and took pride in raising her children Robert "Bobby" Carvalho and Joyce Carvalho both of Plymouth. She was an active member of the Union Grove Club in Kingston and enjoyed playing bingo, bowling and taking trips to Foxwoods. She also loved knitting and dancing as a few of her favorite pastimes. She was predeceased by two brothers, Joseph and James Correa; and a sister, Esther Manfredi. A funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday morning at 9 a.m. at St. Mary's Church in North Plymouth. Visitation will take place at the Cartmell Funeral Home Sunday from 4 to 7 p.m. Interment will be in Vine Hills Cemetery, Plymouth.
