David W. Aronson Obituary
David Walter Aronson age 73 a resident of Plymouth, MA for the past 30 years passed away on April 28th, 2013 of metastatic brain cancer after a brief illness. He is survived by June C. Aronson his wife of forty-three years, sister-in-law Susan Aronson, brothers-in-law Dan McCarthy and Anton Harte of Rhode Island, and his nieces and nephews Hilary, Tyler, Vanessa Aronson of MA, Kirstin and husband Eric Boehn of Washington DC, Paul of MA, Andrew of RI and Rebecca Henthorn of CT. He was predeceased by nephew Mark Henthorn. Born June 5th, 1939 in Providence, RI to Walter and Elsa Aronson, he was predeceased by brother Steven Aronson and sister Claire Aronson-McCarthy. Dave graduated from Fitchburg State Teachers College and taught at Newton High School before working for Ford Motor Company. Dave was co-owner of Shiretown Ford, Plymouth MA for ten years before opening Kool Kar, an auto service shop, in West Plymouth. He enjoyed playing hockey in high school and college and coaching at Newton High. His favorite hobby was collecting and working on cars. Dave was a member of the Board of Trustees for the Plymouth Public Library for many years and past president and member of Kiwanis of Plymouth. A Memorial Service to celebrate his life will be held on Saturday, June 29th at 11:00 a.m. at the Chiltonville Congregational Church. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to McCarthy Care Center 73 Service Road, East Sandwich, MA 02537.
