Elizabeth Betty (Bromfield) Sherman of Randolph died Sunday, Sept. 22, 2013, at the age of 85. She was the devoted and beloved wife of 57 years of the late Daniel Sherman; and beloved daughter of the late Minnie (Kaplan) Bromfield. She was the cherished mother of Elliot Sherman and daughter-in-law Lesley of Hingham and Robert Sherman and his wife Martha of Norwell; dear grandmother of Matthew Sherman and his wife Tricia, Andrew Sherman, Eric Sherman; aunt of Judy Bassett and Diane Guptill; and is also survived by her dear friend, Marie Hanus. Betty was born Bostons West End in 1927, was raised in Roxbury, lived in Mattapan for many years and settled in Randolph over 40 years ago. She was a 1945 graduate of the Jeremiah Burke High School for Girls. She worked for the former Jordan Marsh department stores as a credit manager for over 25 years. Her passion was her family and she kept in contact with relatives and the many friends who had the pleasure of knowing her. Betty was a lifelong sports fan, enjoyed rooting for Bostons teams and most especially enjoyed attending her grandchildrens sports teams. She was also an avid reader, enjoyed theater productions and concerts of all types. Funeral services were held at Schlossberg & Solomon Memorial Chapel, 824 Washington Street, Canton, Tuesday, Sept. 24, 2013, at 10 a.m. Burial at Sharon Memorial Park, Sharon. The memorial Shiva was held at the home of Elliot and Lesley Sherman, Hingham, the evening of Tuesday, Sept. 24, 2013, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, Donor Services, P.O.
