George W. Gallant, Jr., 82, of West Falmouth formerly of Stoughton, passed away Friday, April 11, 2014. He was the beloved husband of Joan C. (Crimmins) Gallant for 59 years. George was born in Boston the son of George W. Gallant, Sr. and Gladys (Dalby). He served in the US Army during the Korean and Vietnam Wars and retired as a Colonel. Besides his wife, Joan, George is survived by his daughters, Nicole Morgan and Judith Gallant, both of Stoughton; and his granddaughter Emma Morgan. A period of visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 15th from 9:30 to 10:30 AM at the Chapman Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 584 West Falmouth Hwy (Route 28A), WEST FALMOUTH. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, April 15th at 11:00 AM at St. Elizabeth Seton Church, 481 Quaker Rd, North Falmouth. Burial will follow at Holy Sepulcher Cemetery, Central Street, Stoughton, MA. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Georges memory to Cathedral High School-Boston, 74 Union Park Street, Boston MA 02118.
